Summary: Twelve-year-old Kate O’Connell is now a part of the Nordstrom family and living in the wilderness of northern Wisconsin. When Papa Nordstrom takes a job at a lumber camp and leaves during the winter, things start disappearing and Kate, Anders, and Erik are convinced there is a thief in their midst.
