Synopsis: Rowan used to be nothing more than stable boy, but now he’s a tournament champion, winning fame and glory for himself all across the kingdom. But when he is ambushed and left for dead, his prestige vanishes and he is abandoned  into the hands of a simple farm-wife. As his strength returns, so does his realization of what has been happening in the kingdom around him, and the changes of survival become desperate.
